Feb. 18--LINWOOD -- What do ice fishing and real estate sales have in common? The three most important factors in each activity are location, location and location.
It takes Mike Gnatkowski only a few minutes to set up his portable shanty in an arctic seascape two miles offshore on the ice of Saginaw Bay. He drills two holes through 10 inches of ice and sets up in one hole a deadstick -- a rod rigged with two minnows and a slip bobber that he lets hang motionless in the water. He will then actively work a jigging spoon through the other hole.
