Spring time on Indiana rivers is a time of anticipation, but use caution - most Indiana streams can be quite dangerous with the influx of great amounts of melting snow and ice...at this time of the year the thought of early season walleyes can cloud one's perspective...never go to the stream in the early Spring alone...once full blown Spring has arrived solo trips are OK, but right now it's a bit dangerous.

The Kankakee River is at or above flood stage now.
