Northern Indiana-Places To Float Tube Fish???

Hey all, I'm new to the board. Found this place while googling float tube info.

I live in Osceola, right by Mishawaka & just a few minutes from the Michigan border. Lunkers is 15 min away from me.

My buddy & I will be trying float tube fishing when the weather warms up.

Can you guys recommend places to float tube fish? What part & where on the river is it safe to float tube? Any parks that allow float tube fishing? Anywhere else?

I'm still new to the area, we moved here from Southern California over a year ago. And yes, I am not getting used to the winters!

Here's some places I'd either just go out and try, or contact the property managers if it's OK:

1. Worster Lake, Potato Creek State Park - South Bend

2. North Chain Lake - Lydick

3. Pleasant, Dipper, and Riddle Lakes - Lakeville

4. Simonton Lake - Elkhart

5. Heaton Lake - Elkhart

6. Indiana Lake - Bristol (also has rainbow trout)

7. Hunter Lake - Middlebury

8. Upper & Lower Fish Lakes - Fish Lake

...this should be enough to whet your appetite.
