Fishing Report March 16, 2003
[cool] The lake level is 354.45 and still very stained, water temperatures are between 52 to 54 degrees depending on what area you are in, Had a ½ day guide trip Sunday after noon with Danny Alford of Clarksville. We had a total of 15 with one that topped the scales at 1.75 (Female full of eggs) The fish we caught were on man mad stake beds in 12 to 14 foot of water, We did catch a few in 16 to 17 foot off of the deep ledges around Eagle creek. The warm days last week warmed the water temperatures up so the females are on the move to shallower water for their spawn. Try fishing in the 12’ to 14’ depths keeping your baits around one foot off the bottom. Best baits for Sunday was the TeeZur Hot Head Green Monster tipped with a Berkley crappie nibble also a TeeZur Hot Head 3/32 white with a orange/chart skirt tipped with Berkley Crappie Nibble. For more info on TeeZur jigs, or crappie nibbles, send me an email. Or call TeeZur at 731.692.3908 Remember your life Jackets and don’t forget the Kids they also want to enjoy the same action as you!
God bless and good fishing to you all.
