Went down to Horseshoe Bend today with crappiehunter...it was mighty chilly this morning - 39 with drizzle falling and a wind out of the North at around 14 mph. The water was turbid, but you could still see down to a depth of 2 feet.
Tried for crappies for awhile, and actually managed to catch a few, but gave up the crappie fishing and tied on my Assassin...it was the right choice for me today! Took this beautiful 19.5" largemouth on my Assassin, short twitchin' it just about a foot below the surface.
