We all have pics of our big fish and bragging rights and so on... A good basser can put others on fish [Wink].Let's see some pics of bass, any type, that you're fishing buddies have caught while you took them to your "hot spot". My best fishin' buddy is my daughter. She caught this one last April.

Bearclaw, from the hunting boards, hooked into this nice LMB on a topwater last June while out on my old boat. Not too bad.

All nice fish, I gotta ask, how do you keep your daughter from not being bored bass fishing? If you have a trick I can use on the granddaughters, please let me know.

Actually, the biggest challenge is keeping her occupied. She isn't always fishing on the boat. She brings her coloring books and my video ipod. Don't get me wrong though, she can hang with the best of them. She has that natural crawdaddy twitch while working a hula grub-she calls them "ooga boogas" She has been fishing with me since she was 2 and has a pretty mellow temperment. Catching fish also helps!!!

I took my neighbor and his son out bass fishing today. His son has never caught a bass and really hasn't done much fishing at all. Long story short-the first fish, caught by the rookie, a 19" smallmouth taildancing all the way to the boat. It was great to see him Smile ear to ear. My biggest was about 16" so I told him he wasn't allowed on my boat anymore![Tongue]

Sounds like you gave him a memory for life and maybe made another fisherman. Great job by all.

Way to go on the teaching part.

If someone was to catch a bigger Bass than me on my boat, I just have to trade positions and let him/her be the driver and I go on as the second.[cool]

That one sure is small.

I hit a streak of some post fry one day. I ended up trading my 3/0 hooks in for some #12 mosquito hooks just to be able to examine them properly. All the bass were just a little bigger than my thumb![cool]

Back in 1987, my Dad had to take early retirement due to health reasons. It really bummed him out and he was having alot of problems dealing with it. I had a little 12' Shakespear boat & a 7.5HP Mercury that I wasn't using, so I gave them both to him. He & Mom began hitting the local lakes around their hometown about three times a week. Wouldn't you know it, he caught the Oklahoma State Record LMB that fall out of that itty bitty boat! Here's a photo of the life-size print I made him to hang on on his wall.

Davetclown,

Yep, we have the picture framed and hanging in his room. A great taxidermist in Okla. mounted the State Record for him too. However it's in a coffee table at his house. Dad's 83 now and his Parkinson's disease has really taken a toll on him in the last six months. I was able to take him fishing this last Fall on that same lake where he caught it, & we both had a great time. However, I don't think he'll ever be up to it again. I bet he's asked me a dozen times in the last two weeks if I can remember when he caught his big bass. He likes to sit and talk about the good times he and Mom had in that little boat I gave them. I don't think he'll be able to catch many more big bass, but he still catches that one everyday, over and over. That's why I made the life-size print to hang in his room here at my house. It gives him a little bit of home and the good times to remember each time he looks at it.
