Are there any sturgeon in Colorado? if there are where are they located here?

No sturgeon in Colorado. The Snake River in Idaho is the closest fishable population I know of.

I concur with Don. Head over to the Snake. You can get plenty of them there. You must have respect for our million year old friends though. They deserve to live another Million years.[Wink]

There are many that are caught and relesed at 6 to 8 feet long.[cool]

Since Sturgeon like to feed on the bottom, it is best to have a sliding rig with about a 4 foot leader. A piece of Cut Bait will work well. Cut bait can consist of cut Anchovy, Sardine or some of the previous weeks catch.

Whole bait squid or whole large Shrimp will also do wonders.[cool]
