Gorge 9-10 June
#1
Another great weekend at the gorge. Fished the buckboard derby this weekend with mixed results. Caught lots of fish, but nothing that placed. Biggest kok was 4.0 and the biggest rainbow was lost at the boat. When we left Sunday the biggest kok weighed was 4.8. Fished Squaw Hollow area Saturday and picked up 40+ kokanee with 3 small rainbow in the boat total of the 3 at the dock weigh in was 5.4 total. The one that was lost I estimated to be between 28 and 30 inches compareing it to the boom on the downrigger which is 30 inches. Fished were caught in 25 to 40 feet of water with the usual Rockymountain Tackle. Pink UV squids, surpent spoons, RGT tubes, and spinners. Bad news was I will have to replace the mounting bracket for the trolling motor. You know the expensive one that is part of the motor, not the one on the back of the boat. The bolt holding the up lock bracket wore loose and finally broke off, but not before doing damage to the bracket.
Weather was great again. Here are some pictures of some of the fish. enjoy.

Thanks for the great report and pics. Jared's gear is really getting it done this year! Too bad you lost the big bow. Also, it sucks to hear about your expensive motor problems! But, at least the weather was good and the fish were biting!

Sweet! Too bad you didn't place, but heck, those boys look like they will cook up nicely!
