Hey All,
I'm interested in hearing some fishing stories and photos of those of you who fish Round Lake in NY. I'm new to freshwater fishing but I've had success from the banks and my boat.
The first fish I caught was a 3 1/2 pounder on a Scum Frog from the bank by the beach off Route 9. I was tossing it over the thick lilly pads. As I came to the weed line edge, I began to work the lure in open water. About 20 feet from shore this large mouth sucked the lure down and took off. Striping line and put up an awesome fight. The entire battle must have made some noise because when I landed the fish, a fly fisherman came out of the water to check out the bass. Too bad I didn't have a camera with me.
