Fishing the Green
#1
What an awesome time! We took the pontoons out to the 'ol "A" section of the Green River and floated it for a few days. Caught MANY MANY fish, but of course stuck to the Limits. 2 under 15" and one over 22". Didn't catch our 22 incher, but got close with a 20" brown, that had to be let go...[Sad]

Anyway, here are a couple of pics...

Great report! The A section is awesome. Very scenic and some of the best fishing in the west! Do you ever get a chance to fish the reservoir? (flaming gorge)

Oh yeah, the Greens "A section" is below flaming gorge dam in Utah.

Again, thanks for the report!

Looks like a great time!

What were the baits/flies of choice?

Lure of choice - Rapalas, or anything that looked like a small rainbow or brown, but we used one sinking rapala that swims about 2'-4' down, all day both days we floated.

We tried flyfishing with Chernobyl Ant, Para Hoppers, Zebra Midges, and an Olive streamer. No hits from any of these....

If any of you have yet to try the "A" section of the Green River (below the Dam at Flaming Gorge, UT) then get out there and try SIGHT FISHING at it's best!

Nice lookin' Brown. Thanks for sharing your photos with us. Next time I'm up the Rock Springs way, I'll have to take the time to try the river below the dam.

Regards, & Good Fishin'
