[font "Arial"][size 2]The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is looking for volunteers to keep watch over the Wolf River near Oshkosh and prevent poachers from harvesting spawning lake sturgeon.
Between April 15 and May 5, large lake sturgeon are extremely vulnerable as they spawn near the river's rocky shorelines. Each year during the spawning season, volunteers take shifts to help guard the prehistoric fish around the clock.
