Good mornin Zonies. Well I have taken on the job as moderator for Arizona and hope that I can help out in anyway. A little about me. I am retired and live in Golden Valley Arizona. I am what you may call a hard core longrange fisherman going after the yellowfin tuna and Wahoo. I have not done any fresh water fishing in a loooog time so I will need the help from all of you. The board is designed to supply useful and informative information on all the great fishing available in Arizona. I am not a believer in censorship but posts that use foul language or are abusive in attacking others will be deleted and the poster contacted.. Other than that fire away and enjoy as much as I do the great sport of fishing.. Your input is Very important, This board is great now but it is going to get even better.. Enjoy....
Moby

Hi Dan.
My last trip was in January on the RR III to the islands 18 days of pure fun.We had a steady bite going and just had a ball. We ended up with one yellowfin at 347# , 10 over 200 and the rest were all over 100, If I remember right we also hung 68 Wahoo. The wahoo on this trip were hard to find and it was to say the least a very picky bite.. Next trip will be a 10 day starting the 30th of Sept ending the 10th of October.. This trip I am going to concentrate on Wahoo, Designed some trick jigs that are completly different than anything being used right now.. Catch Ya ...
Moby

Hi Moby,
I too am a salt water desert rat, hailing from down south in Sierra Vista. I do most if not all of my fishing out of Marina San Carlos down in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. We have a web site about that community at http://www.sancarlosmexico.com and I'm always glad to try and answer questions any one has about that neck of the woods. I've also done a bit of bass fishing in Se Arizona and northern Mexico, but my info is a bit dated. I'll help anyone and anyway I can. Thanx

Bart Waldo
Vista Communications

Hi, Moby! Welcome to AZ.
Arizona has some of the better fishing in the continental U.S. (i've lived in Minnesota, Washington, N.Dakota, Montana, etc.) Any particular fish you're after? I'll help any way I can.
I've done some SOCAL fishing, too; not too good at it. Caught 'cudas, Sandies, Calicos, Bonita, Mackerel...but nothing too special. Probably my favorite I've caught in the Pacific to date was a large male Sheephead (wish I would have kept it).
yack at ya later! Tight lines!
