Diamond Fork
#1
A buddy caught this out of Diamond Fork, it was 21 1/2 inches. Threw in a Yozuri where his friend was fly fishing for a half hour and caught nothing.

Nice fish! How was the water clarity?

He said it wasn't bad at all, just go below the three forks down because everything up above was treated with rotenone to kill the browns so they could plant 10,000 cutts to build the population.

Nice to see Diamond Fork still has some nice browns. I've mostly avoided it this year because I think the diluted rotenone reduced the population of fish significantly below 3 Forks. I wonder if that was a resident fish or came up out of Soldier Creek like they start to do this time of year. Above 3 Forks is closed this year after planting all those fingerling bonneville cutts last year. I'm all for that but wonder if that was the right place for it. Above 3 Forks is just a trickle of pretty warm water most years by late summer let alone a drought year like this one. If anyone has heard anything about how those cutts are doing I'd love to hear.
