Sunday, 09/23/07- Hit the water early.

BaySport sits at rest, tied to the floating outhouse near Las Vegas Wash. You figure out why.

Tossed the net about a million times, in what is left of Las Vegas Wash. Ended up with a livewell full of shad. Headed for the bouy at Gov' t Wash to drift fish.

Live shad ready to go to work. Action was steady all morning, catching twelve in the 1-3 pound range. Small boils happened a couple of times near shore. I sat tight, and continued providing work for shad.

Some of the boats off Sand Island. Everyone was jigging, everyone was catching nice fish. I continued to put shad to work.

Very nice pictures. They should be increasing in size as the water cools. Look out for that big one lurking around. He needs to eat soon.

Great report, BaySport,

Looks like I'll be heading out there during Thanksgiving for my 8 day houseboat trip. Was hoping to get out there in October but work unfortunately has picked up to the extent that I'm unable to get out there any sooner.

In the meantime, I'll just keep reading and enjoying your reports.
