thames river
#1
got on the water at 8 30 am launched from dock rd.headed up river to the mohegan sun, fished around the rocks, the area was loaded with peanut bunker,we noticed some surface action by the rr trussel by the casino, ended up landing3 snapper blues 10 inches in length,so we headed down river to see if we could find anything bigger.we went down to ther sub base,to our suprise,no bait, nothing on the finder,we worked our way back to the launch, found some surface action.we threw everything.nothing, joe put on a snag hook, bunker 12 inches.so i put one on,we snag a couple, and ended up getting tangle with each other, nothing bad,but when i pulled up my bunker it was half gone.so we live lined a couple.i did get one hell of a hit took off the hole bunker, then nothing the rest of the day.
we talked to a few regulars there, and they said it was hit or miss.one day the river is loaded with stripers and blues the next day nothing

Pops running into the same thing on the Ct River. He's just given up on blues this year. I've got a couple of side jobs going, so I'm off the water for two weeks.[Sad] I will be trying Lake Williams on the 20th.
