Carp fishing in the UK

Do you guys in the USA have carp fishing matches? And is there much prize money available?

All of the UK match fishing has now gone to carp fishing competitions where people can have as much as 300lb of fish in a five hour match!

yes we do have matches, not much of a prize tho, deffenantly not enough to pay for a plane trip back and forth.

one of the biggest carp matches is Ohio carp club, "not sure the exact name" you have to fish for carp the whole season to qualify.

most events are daily and buy ins are about $10.oo Pay out would be how ever mouch collected.

we dont have sponcers for carp the way we do for bass and walleye...

There are several paylakes around I have no idea what kind of payouts they have but there are yearly tournaments in central NY that the pay out is in the THOUSANDS people come from all over the world to fish them. The WORLD carp tournament is being held in northern NY Waddington NY on the St.Lawerence river BIG pay out and tons of prizes
