BOOT PADDLES
#1
Some years ago I had some boot padles or flippers. PRobably got them from cabelas.
They would strap onto regular wader boots and fold when you kick forward or open when you kick backward. Some what handy at times.
Anyone know where i can get some.
Thanks

It seems like you are referring to paddle pushers, as produced by the Fishmaster Mfg Co

Browne who invented them used to use them for moving forwards in shallow water to fish cats.

I had a pair many years ago and was disappointed. The propulsion they give (going forwards) might be just a twentieth of what you get from conventional scuba fins ( going backwards) and the ability they give to cope with any wind is just about zero, making them mainly suitable for total calm, and very near base.

The maker's website is here:

[cool][#0000ff]They are designed to be worn for fishing shallow water ponds, where you may either walk on the bottom or move yourself forward...but not for long distance propulsion. They are also meant to be used for old donut style tubes and would not work well at all with modern open front craft. [/#0000ff]
