cool little raft
#1
HI all

Ok i do no its not a tube or a pontoon.

but the size off them is not more then some off those tbes or pontoons.

and actualy i would almost consider them in the tube categories...almost.

they do look good.....not big not heavy very portable etc.

look at the pictures off them..

we do have to admit.its a cool outfit for the size.actualy smaller then a h3....[cool].

but a bit more pricey.

but i would think you can rig that thing to fish..

It is not going to track as well as a pontoon. I think on still water it will take more to move it cause it is leaving such a large footprint.
I think the price is very high also, but I guess the Navigator II is up there. The Navi comes to a point in the back like the H3, Fat Cats, and even ODC. This cuts through the water better. You do move backwards, but you really want to while fishing.
Not a bad boat however, will pack up small like the tubes mentioned so that is really not an advantage. The only advantage is it is row-able like the Navi II.
Keep in mind, NFO tubes and toons sell for a lot less than posted at shows. You just got to decide and have someone pick it up for you and mail it.

I just watched the You-Tube...it looks wicked fun!, but I don't think it is what you would call a fishing vestal. No side bags and not much room, plus I don't think it is designed to put your legs through and kick for hands free fishing.
A couple do have a hole in the floor, but I think it is more a drain. Not big enough for kicking legs.
And it still looked like it didn't track as well as boats with a point.

true i dont think it those track well.

but for the foot print.no more then those h3 or other big tubes..in size so.

no bag.right....but this sting could be rig.

some poeple were looking for tube for fast water.and its not a good ideal but that one.no prob. so somebody as to go down some little rapids to get to one flat spot to fish.there you go.

i do like it.like the size..like is tuffnes dont like the prise.outch

it would be cool if the bottom would be like 1/2 open for legs....it would be a great vessel.

all boats are not perfect for all condition.

it was just to show people .there one more option.

thanks

Everything you said is right on.
By footprint, these little boats have the whole thing in the water including your rear.
Going with my old man who weighs around 225, with the SFC and the H3, his rear is not in the water. So looking from behind, it is two separate pontoons coming to a point. The little boat does look like the front kicks up and therefore going forward it will track better, which is what they are doing in it (the direction it is designed for)
But, like I said, for fishing, you really need to go backwards.
Thanks for the link Joco, I do have some crazy kayaker friends that really like those.

An 11.5 wide turns into a 4' by 6' foot print in the water.

Just wait till we get a chance to do some ice fishing in the tubes.

You only have to chop a hole in the ice that is the size of Rhode Island so that you can launch.[laugh]
