Hi lonehunter, This is just a quick reply to your post on Canada's report page. You were interested in a fishing report from BC. Well, apart from what I mentioned in my steelhead, salmon, sturgeon report, we are experiencing very good steelhead catches as of late, and all of March and April will produce fish. During these months, the fish really stack up in certain parts of the river.

We have been getting some nice fish lately, pushing 15-16lbs, mostly wild and several hatchery. Sturgeon fishing has been good as well, with all the warm weather we've been having. The winter is usually a slow time for sturgeon fishing due to the cold weather, but this year the winter has been very mild and the sturgeon are on the bite.

At this time of year, you mostly catch smaller fish up to 5 ft with the odd bigger fish. However, over the next 2 months, as the water starts to rise from the snow meltoff and the temp increases, they start feeding more, especially once the eulachon migration begins.

Hope this helps, Chris Ciesla
