Ambassadeur?
#1
Hi, I'm a trout fisherman that wants to get into bass fishing more this up and coming year. Ever since I caught an 8lb lm over the summer, I can wait to go again. I will be mainly fishing small lakes and ponds, and I am looking for a baitcasting combo. I was looking at the Abu Garcia AmbasSadeur series, but are they mainly for larger fish, like pike muskie? or will it suit me well for smaller, under 5lb bass? what other reels would you recommend for under $100.

thanks in advance!

Abu Garcia's AmbasSadeur series makes smaller reels too. Check out this one:

That's an Abu Max series. Around 60 bucks for the standard and around 80 for the pro series. Standard is more than high quality. 120 yards of 12 pound test, so plenty of compacity 6:1 ratio for high speed retrieve. Look more in depth, you'll find what you're looking for in an Abu if that's what you want. Personally, I like Abu Garcia and I use them for both fresh and saltwater. There isn't a finer flounder or catfish reel.
