Fishing Report April 19, 2003
The lake level is 358.87 and water temperatures are between 61 to 64 degrees, I had A Guide trip Saturday with 28 keepers topped by a 2.5# female, Lots of fish are being caught in the 2 to 8 foot range with the spawn in full swing. The females are full of eggs and the males are very close behind them so for the next week it should be very good fishing. Try fishing in 2’ to 10’ of water keeping your baits around 1’ foot off the bottom till you find a pattern. Also try casting sassy shads to a rock bank with a very slow retrieve. Best baits for Saturday was TeeZur Hot Head white with red eyes Orange /Chart Skirt tipped with a Berkley crappie nibble also a TeeZur Orange/ Chart Hot Head 3/32 with a purple/chart skirt tipped with Berkley Crappie Nibble. For more info on TeeZur jigs, or crappie nibbles, send me an email. Or call TeeZur at 731.692.3908 Remember your life Jackets and don’t forget the Kids they also want to enjoy the same action as you! Please remember our Troops in your prayers! Also please keep David’s mother in your prayers.
God bless and good fishing to you all.
