It was monday night and my stepmom and i thought we would try our luck at the springmaid pier for a little while. We fished for a few hours and only caught a couple of skates and we decided to leave. As soon as we got our rods broken down a college girl had something big on the line. It was about 9:00 pm and we decided to stay for a second to check it out. Eveyone thought it was a shark but to our surprise it as one of the biggest redfish i had ever seen in person. She and her boyfriend tired him out and walked all the way down the pier and beached it. We got the hook out and we all stood in amazement. It had to be over 35lbs no joke. This is no fishing story this the way it happened.
