The carp are Sunbathing!
#1
I got out on the bear river today with my trusty old bow and it was just warm enough to find some carp out sunbathing in the sloughs! I ended up shooting 5 carp and missed 3 long shots. I fished for about an hour or so. Once the wind picks up in the afternoon it's pretty much over! I got a pic of one carp before my camera died.
It's bowfishing time!

SWEET! i have always wanted to try that, it looks like so much fun. i would try up on the bear below onedia narrows, where the water pipe crosses the river. i have seen some monster carp sunbathing there while i walk across the pipe.

well the bear river comes into utah In Cache Valley, then winds it's way through the valley before it hits cutler dam...than goes through tremonton and brigham area and eventually dumps into the Salt Lake...(correct me if i'm wrong there guys). I shoot carp in cache valley...but anywhere on the bear that you can find shallow still water you should find carp on sunny days.
