Lake Wateree
#1
Went out on Lake Wateree this past Sunday. The water was high, so you can imagine how we did. One Perch, One Crappie, and One Channel Catfish. We did better than most, however. I was marking crappie all over the place from 3-8' of water, but they wouldn't hit squat. There were a lot of people trolling, which also didn't catch anything. We were using minnows, both bobber fishing and strait lining.

The water temp was 62 degrees in beaver creek, and between 2-3' high according to the lady at the tackle store. I know the catfish are biting pretty good along the ledges, however, I didn't get a chance to try them out. I had planned on catching a few crappie and using the heads for catfish bait. But, that didn't work out.

The ocean is warming up, won't be long. Hopefully my next report will be an ocean report. [cool]
