Went fishing with a friend at her pond last night...I don't care if she feeds them, and it's a lot easier to catch em, but I landed a good sized cat. The drag on my shakespeare alpha 50 open-faced reel seems to be messed up, so when I got a good bite on it, the line snapped within 3 seconds. If you have and ideas about that, please let me know.
Anyway, this fish went across my friend's line, then back around it (without entangling our lines) and about decapitated her with my pole 2 times when it shot by the pier we were on. It only fought me for about 5 minutes, but that's the longest any cat's ever fought me.
The pic isn't that great. The flash on my phone was on, and we had a mag lite flashlight on it too, but you can see what's going on...
