Fly Fishing the Upper Connecticut River for Trophy Trout
#1
CONCORD, N.H. -- Put your snow shovel aside and start planning a spring or summer angling adventure! Registered N.H. fishing guide Angus Boezeman will present a free talk on "Fly Fishing New Hampshire's Upper Connecticut River for Trophy Trout" on Wednesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. at New Hampshire Fish and Game headquarters, 11 Hazen Drive in Concord, N.H. Admission is free; no pre-registration needed. The session kicks off Fish and Game's spring series of free fishing talks by expert anglers.

Angus Boezeman, widely known as the guru of the Connecticut River, has more than 25 years of experience fishing on this river. At Wednesday's talk, he will share his insights on fly fishing this famous and sometimes intimidating fishery.

Boezeman's presentation will focus on time-tested techniques used on the river. He will share his insights on selecting the correct fly for any river condition, as well as the importance of properly reading the water for the most likely fish haunts.

"I find it amazing that there are so many people who love to fish, but have not given this world-class fishery a try," says Boezeman. That said, it's important to have a game plan for fishing this river, he says. Not to worry -- there's no doubt that this program will give you the confidence to be successful on the Connecticut.

"This program is as close as it comes to a day on the river with Angus," says Mark Beauchesne, Fish and Game's Advertising and Promotions Coordinator, himself a veteran angler, who is coordinating the series of talks for the Department.
