RGS to hold fundraiser dinner in Manilus

The Central New York Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will hold its 27th Annual Sportsmen's Banquet on Friday, November 9, 2007 at the Whitetail at Woodcrest Golf Club, Route 173 and Cheese Factory Road, Manilus, New York, beginning with cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.

As is the custom at all RGS fundraiser's, this event will feature live and silent auctions, games, drawings and door prizes; highlighted with the finest selection of quality firearms, artwork and collectable's.

Tickets are $25 for RGS members, $25 for a member's guest, and $50 for new or renewing members, the latter including a one year RGS membership.

Habitat, Conservation and Sustaining sponsorship packages are also available at $275, $500 and $1,000 respectively.

Banquet tickets can also be purchased on line through the RGS website up until two weeks of the event. Just go to www.ruffedgrousesociety.org>www.ruffedgrousesociety.org, click on Select State in the Migration Mapping & State Information box in the right panel of the home page. Choose a state; than under Upcoming State Events, click on the event of interest and you will be linked to a display of all important event details, including the ticket chairman's contact information.

And, continuing in the spirit of the outdoors, youngsters under the age of 16 who recently took and passed a hunter education course and/or women who have participated in a recent Outdoors Women program, and can verify same, will receive a complimentary dinner ticket when accompanied by a paying adult

As with all RGS fundraisers, proceeds from this event will be used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat.
