NORTHEAST REGION'S SPORTSMAN'S ADVISORY GROUP MEETING JUNE 3
#1
Hunters and anglers interested in learning more about issues facing Colorado's wildlife are invited to attend a public meeting Tuesday, June 3. The northeast region Sportsman's Advisory Group will meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Division of Wildlife (DOW) Hunter Education Building at 6060 Broadway in Denver.
Since their inception four years ago, Sportsman's Advisory Groups have worked with the DOW on wildlife management topics such as license fees and the Colorado Habitat Stamp Program.

Topics discussed at this meeting will include the 5-year Big Game Season Structure, Colorado Zebra Mussel management, Rocky Mountain National Park elk culling, a potential NE Colorado landowner hunting lockout and an update on House Bill 1298.

Steve Yamashita, the new northeast regional manager for the DOW, looks forward to meeting some of his new area's constituents; "The northeast region of Colorado is experiencing unprecedented growth and change. Managing wildlife here will continue to require input and involvement from members of the public who care about the future of wildlife. SAG meetings offer a great opportunity to hear from concerned citizens and keep a dialogue going about one of our most valued natural resources."

Questions about the meeting can be directed to Jennifer Churchill at 303-291-7234.
