FWP seeks applications for Region 7 Citizen Advisory Council
#1
Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking applications to fill one volunteer position on the Region 7 Citizen Advisory Council (CAC). The council was established to provide input and guidance to FWP from the public on a wide variety of issues.
The CAC is a general advisory committee that meets between three and four times annually and works with FWP on all issues and programs. Citizen advisors serve in a voluntary capacity with meals and travel expenses provided for a term that expires in 2010. The meetings, which are open to the public, are generally held in Miles City and are devoted to two or three main topics, though citizen advisors come to meetings prepared to discuss the whole breadth of FWP business, from wildlife, parks and fisheries management to access, habitat, recreation and law enforcement.

Applicants are being sought to fill a vacancy created by the untimely passing of Mark Forman, who ranched in the Knowlton, MT area. Applicants will be considered from across Region 7. Applicants will be asked to provide an overview of their interests and involvement in natural resource issues plus write a few sentences on why they are interested in serving on the CAC. To obtain an application call FWP at 234-0900,or email Dwayne Andrews at dandrews@mt.gov, write CAC Application, FWP, PO Box 1630, Miles City MT. 59301.

Completed applications must be received by FWP by July 4, 2008 . Finalists will be notified and should be prepared to attend their first meeting in Miles City on July 16, 2008.
