Williams Fork ice free but closed to boats

Bernie Keefe reports that Williams Fork is wide open, but there is a sign at the boat ramp saying it's closed to boating, except for hand launched craft as a result of the Zebra Mussel mania. That sucks!

The Denver Water Board and the DOW have had a decade to plan for this eventuality and no one has done a damn thing.

I would love to be up there this weekend chasin Pike. I wonder if that will effect many more of our favorite lakes like Spinney , Elevenmile or Granby later this year. I wonder if they found Zebra Mussels there or it just precaution .
