Carp for bait ???
#1
I have read several reports of people using carp pieces for catfish bait.

I usually catch at least one carp every trip out.

My question is once I have caught it what is the best and easiest way to prepare it to be used as bait?

Thanks

I fillet them, then cut the meat into pieces about the size of my thumb. I leave the skin on, it makes it really hard for the fish to steal your bait. I put them in a zip-lock freezer bag, five or six pieces to a bag, and take them out of the freezer the day before I use them. Carp meat is by far my most productive catfish bait.
