Old Lures

[#000000][/#000000]We have received a question from a user and we wanted to know if anyone could help her out. Below is her question.
[#000000][/#000000]
[#000000][/#000000]Where can I go to get someone to give me an honest value to old lures...I have about 60 -70 old lures that were my fathers and they have not been in any water in over 30 years now.He was an avid fisherman but became blind and had to give the sport up ..I ended up with a box full of old lures and they have been tucked away in an old barn for years....I know there is an interest in them because of seeing them in antique shops, and also men telling me to not let people go through them and pick out what they wanted, but to try to sell them all ...These lures were fished with every week,it was something he lived for and did it well when he was able...I did take them to an antique auction and there was no one at the auction that had any knowledge in fishing lures Could you guide me in the right direction as to how to sell them...or find a value on them...Thanks for your time....Deb Marsh

[cool][#008000]Hi Jason - here is my response to Dre` who posted the same question on the Fly Fishing board:[/#008000]

[#008000]Hi Dre` Seems like everyone has some hand me down lures. I for one wouldn't part with my Dad's old lures. That said there are a number of sites one can check out to find out what their lures might be worth. If one also has the original packaging then the value is worth considerable mores. Here are just two sites:[/#008000]
