Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Whitebass remain excellent. The fish are in the jumps early and late.
When in the jumps allot of different baits are working. The bigger
whitebass are being caught on the bottom with jigging spoons. Crappie
are slow and there are very few fishermen going after them. Catfishing
is good below the dams on cutbait. Bluegill are good early and late
along the docks and deep banks. They are running somewhat small
now. Largemouth are spotty on the drop-offs. Lake Barkley is
producing the better catches on Carolina rigged plastic worms. Some
have been taken on deep crankbaits. Smallmouth have slowed since
last week.

TIP: Take plenty of liquids and sun screen. It's really hot out there.

BIT AND PIECES: "Use what talents you possess; the woods would
be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best."
