Join the FWP staff at Lone Pine State Park to help in celebrating Lone Pine's new look on Saturday, May 31 at our Grand Opening Event. The day will be filled with guided walks, fun-filled activities, and arts & crafts booths. At 3 p.m. the swinging tunes of the Belton Blues Band will fill the air. Get ready to tap your feet and sing along. Then join us at 5 p.m. for an official dedication and ribbon cutting commemorating our newly remodeled visitor center. Our musical guests will provide us with knee-slapping fun until 8 p.m. and food and beverages will be available for purchase.
<br>To help highlight some of Lone Pine's recent changes, we will also provide park manager hikes at 1:00 and 3:30 p.m. Managers will discuss the park's new 40-acre parcel, the forestry health project, and the visitor center face-lift. Don't miss out on this exciting day of fun and celebration! Come on up on May 31 to learn, discover, and enjoy your new and improved neighborhood state park.<br>
