Horseshoe Bend- Kankakee River

Hi all, new the site. Went over to Horseshoe Bend last night with the kid. Put on some bee-moth on a small jig and bober and he managed get 8 nice gills and 3 crappie in the bucket for the ole' man to clean. We had fun. Hadn't been down there since I was a kid. Nice a quite last night. We are going to try again tonight with some minnows.

Has anybody had any luck with some wild shinners on a bober for some large bass or northern out there?

I dont know about there, but shiners under a bobber near docks rafts and weed beds do well most every where when they are biting...
