PIERRE, S.D.-Wildlife biologists of the S.D. Game, Fish and Parks Department have written management plans for Black Hills deer and sage grouse.
<br>"Both plans have gone through an internal review process, and now we are making them available to the public for further comment," said Game Program Administrator Tom Kirschenmann. "These management plans will provide a working framework for the department and guide our efforts in meeting management objectives."<br>
<br>A 30-day public comment period on the management plans starts on June 11. The plans may be accessed at the department Web site at http://www.sdgfp.info/SageGrousePlan.htm or http://www.sdgfp.info/BlackHillsDeerPlan.htm where they are available in PDF format.<br>
<br>Citizens who wish to provide written comments on the management plans may mail them to Game Program Administrator Tom Kirschenmann, Game, Fish and Parks Department, 523 E. Capitol Ave., Pierre, SD 57501 or e-mail them to wildinfo@state.sd.us.
