Relative to opinions on knot strength, attached is another web site with another opinion.

This site and others referenced on it, have some good information. (testing methods, etc.)

Very complete testing article. It also does offer more good knot info links at the end too. He has my favorite fishing knot website It now has all of it's fishing knots animated too. - slojes
