Summer Flounder tip

Because of the design of the flounder and the position of its mouth it must swallow food head first. So if fishing with live bait or similar, don't hookup as if your slamming a largemouth bass. Count to three, then set your hook. This is enough time for them to posion bait for swallowing and will increase hookups. Give it a try.

FLOUNDER swallowing Head first!!! Wow!!! I did not know that....Hook has to be set just right or the fish will get off... About the same way bass picks up the worm "head first".... Thanks for sharing..

another summer flounder tip is when fishing sandy bottoms have a long leader then the hook so the hits are more distinked[fishin] hope it helps
