Fall Chinook Salmon Season Opens Friday
#1
The Columbia River from Buoy 10 upriver to Tongue Point will be open from Aug. 1 to Sept. 1, or until quota is met. Managers expect the run to be considerably better than last year with decent fishing especially at Buoy 10.

Coastal rivers and bays will see a less robust run of fall chinook but most rivers will remain open for fishing and harvest. Before hitting the rivers, anglers should check the 2008 temporary regulations for changes in bag limits and some deadlines.
