Wildlife Commission to Hold Workshop in Pueblo August 7
#1
The Colorado Wildlife Commission will hold its regular August workshop in Pueblo at the Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main Street, on August 7. The workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. and adjourn at 4:30 p.m.

The Commission will amend its final 2008 waterfowl and migratory bird hunting season dates, bag and possession limits for the Pacific and Central Flyway portions of Colorado based upon the federal requirements imposed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The Commission will also be updated by Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) staff on several different issues including: the 5-year big game season structure process, bait regulation issues for anglers, the bighorn sheep management plan, and the draft DAU Management Plans for Moose and elk in North Park.

Constituents can now listen to Commission workshops and meetings through the DOW Web site. This opportunity is being provided to keep constituents better informed about development of regulations by the Commission and how they and DOW staff are resolving issues facing Colorado's wildlife.

People can listen to live audio feeds of the meetings by clicking on the "listen to audio" link during meeting times on the "Wildlife Commission" Web page. Broadcasts are only available while the meeting is taking place.
