Headboat for perch in the fall??
#1
I've done a few charters out of Sandusky for walleye. This fall, I think I'd like to take the wife and do a head boat trip for perch. Is there such a thing? I know that the perch in the fall, at least the jumbo perch, are out more toward Cleveland than the island areas. Perch are my most favorite fish to catch and eat. Consequently, I would relish a perch trip and I need some advise on who, where, when, costs if you know, contacts, etc. Minnows on jigs or on perch spreaders are the ticket. Now to just find the right headboat charter .............
Thanx in advance ........

Yes, there is such a thing as a perch charter, some charters hold up to 80 passengers and fish from all sides of the boat once ancored.

I am sure there are others down your way, the charters I have heard about are in the saganaw bay area of michigan.

I will do a little digging to see if I can find a perch charter in the lake errie area. I do know that some of the walleye charters go out and spend a little time on perch once the walleye limit has been met... A need to ask sort of thing.

back in a few.

Thanx for the info Mako ...Rarely I can afford a charter due to the cost individually. With the price of fuel, it makes affording a charter even more. A charter is like $150 per person or more where a headboat is $41 per person. With travel expenses to Lake Erie and back, costs need consideration. Granted, on a charter you get more individualized fishing freedom, but I'm not against being on a boat with 50 other people and catching my limit. I know where there are tons of perch in close to shore .... I just can't get at them as I'm boatless ....

The spring is overlooked by many people and there are a lot of nice perch to be had.
