[/#500000]For flies, try sizes 16s - 22s. Almost any fly you want to use. Those puppies are hungry. Try dries and midges. For dries try using a stimulator pattern. The Elk Hair Caddis has been hot. Late evening fishing has been the best. Bring drinking water during the day -- it's hot!

[#008000]Good fishing for trout and perch. Trout have been hitting on powerbait and night crawlers. For lures, try Castmasters, rapalas, spinners, panther martins, rooster tails, and Mepps. For flies, try dragon streamers, wooley buggers, and midge patterns. [/#008000]

[/#500000][#008000]Water flows have dropped to about 304 cfs. Fishing this stretch has been pretty good. Barbless lures and flies have been pretty effective. Caddis activity in the evening has been pretty good with the browns rising for them. Evening mosquitoes are thick, so bring repellent.[/#008000]

[/#500000]Water flows are at about 304 cfs above Bishop Creek. Lures and flies have been pretty good. Caddis activity in the evening has been pretty good. Mosquitoes have been pretty thick in the twilight hours.
[/#008000][#008000][#500000]Crowley Lake (About 30 minutes north of Bishop)
[/#500000]Crowley has slowed down. The lake has cleared-up and the mossyness is gone. Midge fishing is not that good. You'll have to really work for those fish you catch.
As of August 1st there is a 2-fish limit. Barbless, artificial only, 18” minimum length.

[#008000][#500000]Upper Owens River (About 40 minutes north of Bishop)
[/#500000]The Upper Owens has enjoyed good fishing. Mainly with nimphing, pheasant tails, hare’s ears, and tiger midges, sizes 16s & 18s.
