FLORIDA DUO REELS IN TEAM OF THE YEAR AWARD
#1
PENSACOLA, Florida - Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup veteran anglers Andrew Bostick and Mark Sepe took the Academy Sports + Outdoors Team of the Year Award presented by Crocs, securing and maintaining a lead from day one of the 2008 season. The Florida anglers were the picture of dominance.

"The whole tournament was tough for us, because so much was on the line," said Sepe. "The spots we fished last year to win it [in Pensacola] didn't have the bites, but somehow we pulled out enough weight in the end."

The Academy Sports + Outdoors Team of the Year presented by Crocs award is given to the team that accumulates the most points in the four qualifying events held during the regular season. Sepe and Bostick received $10,000 and will have their entry fees waived for the 2009 Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup.

"This means everything in the world to us," said Bostick. "We couldn't ask for anything more."

The Team of the Year honor adds yet another accolade to this unstoppable duo's growing list. As a team, they won the 2007 championship title as well as two tournament titles during the 2008 season in addition to the Lake and Bay Big Bag honor.

The team was also awarded the Lake and Bay Big Bag honor for their 17.42 pounds of fish on Day Two of the tournament in Hopedale, La.

The team now heads to Biloxi, Miss. to join the 19 other teams at the top of the overall Redfish Cup standings for the final 2008 championship Oct. 10-12.

Each stop of the Redfish Cup features a $50,000 grand prize and more than $193,000 in total payout. Throughout the season, the Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup will visit five venues across the Southeast in 2008 and give away more than $1 million in prize and contingency monies.
