CHUM SALMON RELEASE REQUIRED ON SKAGIT RIVER
#1
Action: Anglers must release chum on the Skagit River.

Effective dates: November 10 through December 31, 2008.

Species affected: Chum salmon.

Location: From the mouth of the Skagit River to the mouth of Cascade River.

Reasons for action: In-season, run-size estimates indicate that the abundance is less than needed to meet the spawning goal.

Other Information: All other regulations remain unchanged. Salmon fishing is closed in the Skagit River upstream of the Cascade River.
