Stripers on the Hudson
#1
[Image: winner.gif]Old Henry Hudson would have had a tough time navigating the Hudson River Saturday morning. The striper fisherman were out in force. I fished from Castleton to Albany. The water was muddy and plenty of debree to keep you busy while navigating thru the boats. Water temp. is coming up. Up 3 degrees in one week to 55 degrees. Herring and Shad where aplenty, I kept a fair amount to freeze for future trips when they have completed thier run.

We fished from low to high tide using cut bait and live herring. Not very much success for the stripers, for most everyone arounds us it was the same way. I did see one man land a nice cow about 5PM. There was a gentleman who picked up a 55 pounder down the Kingston way last week. It seems the fish are later this year than last. Maybe next weekend will produce some stripers for us.

Be safe Chief.
