CHEYENNE -- The Wyoming Game and Fish Department's Alternative Enterprises Store has several new items this year for that hard-to-buy-for outdoor enthusiast. The store has items for anglers, hunters and in general, anyone interested in wildlife.
"Many of the gifts are unique to the Cowboy State," said Jennifer Wagner, Alternative Enterprises coordinator. "A number of items carry the Game and Fish shield and some display the Wyoming Wildlife, Worth the Watching logo."
New products include a Butcher Lite Kit, which includes knives for field dressing, skinning, filleting/boning and a bone saw. The knives have the Wyoming Game and Fish Department logo etched on the blades. It also includes a sharpener and a device to spread the rib cage of animals to make the field dressing process easier. The kit comes in a case that will fit easily in day packs . Other items include wild game cookbooks, a Wyoming atlas listing maps of roads, public and private lands and outdoor recreation areas. The popular camo field jackets are back with embroidered animals including a choice of black-footed ferret, mule or white-tailed deer, elk and antelope. Wagner said gifts are available for kids, sportsmen and women in all price ranges.
Game and Fish products are featured on the agency's online gift store , and product brochures can be obtained from Game and Fish offices. Shoppers can also purchase gift certificates. Proceeds from the sale of products support hunter and angler access, habitat restoration and protection and other wildlife programs.
