changing steering
#1
I just picked up a project boat a tracker panfish 16.5. The boat is laid out with a seat in front and one in back with the controls up in the front. Also uses stick steering instead of a steering wheel. I want to set it up like a bass boat with a side console closer to the back of the boat. Will I still be able to use the cables on the boat or will I have to get shorter ones. Also will they be able to hook up to a steering wheel?

you would need to get shorter ones.to add a wheel you would need to get a whole new set up.you can get a complete steering setup starting around 150.00

you dont really have to, you would have to coil them up.i would get shorter one just so you dont have to deal with the coils,it makes a neater job
