Shore Fishing Tips in Oahu?
#1
I'll be going to Hawaii relatively soon and was wondering if anyone has a couple tips for a main-lander to catch a few ocean fish from the shore. I'm not looking for anything special but would like to catch something exotic. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I am in Oahu now staying in the Hilton Hawain Village. There is a Jetty in front of the hotel and I watched anglers catch fish there most of the day today. My wife already agreed to go chase Peacock Bass at Lake Wilson, Marlin Trip on Tuesday and maybe a night shark trip so I didn't want to push my luck and try it, but I did talk to one guy who said he does well there often.

P.S. If you are looking for exotics, maybe also think fresh water. My first call to the guide below was already booked but was very helpful. '

Maybe give him a try:
