Greetings from CO
#1
Hi All - I've been away from fishing for the past several years, but am looking forward to getting back into it this spring. I've got the spinning reels all cleaned and lubed, cleaned the dead spiders out of the tackle box, and I'll be ready to go as soon as I get a couple hours free.

I was raised on catfish and panfish in Iowa rivers and lakes. I've never been terribly successful since moving to CO, but I decided that I haven't really given it a fair shot so far. I'm going to devote some more time and effort this summer to at least work on the local ponds and reservoirs in the Denver suburbs and enjoy my time outdoors more. If anyone has any info on good spots in the Denver metro area, I'm all ears.

Someday I'd like to take a shot at fly fishing, but for now I want to learn to use the equipment I have better and exercise the equipment between my ears. I'm also looking to introduce my two young girls to fishing this summer. Patience isn't their strong point, but I think we'll have some fun anyway.

Looking forward to meeting some interesting folks here.

Craig

Welcome to the site Craig, thanks for signing up. The Colorado board is an active board with some great moderators that should be able to answer any of your questions about local fishing in the Denver area. Here is a link to that board, ask for Don of Denver. WH2
