need some advice on Arkansas fishing.

I am fishing my way across the country and will be going through Arkansas around May 20th.

I am hoping to get some advice on the best 2 or 3 lakes to fish. I am hoping to catch large mouths, walleye, and/or crappie. Am also looking to night fish for big cats.

Anyone got any ideas. Your help will be appreciated.

Here are a few of the records for catfish caught in Arkansas including the year and location caught. The Arkansas state record channel catfish was caught from Lake Ouachita, the state record flathead catfish came out of the Arkansas River and the Mississippi River W. Memphis produced the AR state record blue catfish.

As for Largemouth Bass, you can catch very large Bass in almost every pond, river, large lake in Arkansas.

I have never walleye fished before so can't help you much there.

You will be amazed at the amount of small ponds you are going to pass while traveling through Arkansas and most aren't posted and many that are, all you need to do is ask the farmer ( or owner ) and you will most likely be given permission to fish their pond.

this renowned fishery has some of the largest landlocked stripers in the world, lake record is 64.5 lbs.
